More Deaths Due to Heat Stroke in a Car

This story was reported on August 12, 2014 by the AP. A mother in Maryland, with her two daughters in the back seat, died in their car. The circumstances are strange, but they died from heat stroke- or hyperthermia. The children were 18 months and 6 months old. Some people commenting about this trategy say it was a suicide and murder. But, it is possible to fall asleep inside a very hot car and die. According to the Mayo Clinic, one of the symptoms of hyperthermia or heatstroke is sleepiness. It is possible to actually fall asleep in the intense heat. The story is important because it shows that at 90 degrees outside temperature, even an adult can die inside a car. We have to be careful to protect ourselves and especially the children from heat.
